Are You Protected Under NJ Lemon Law?

It’s tolerable when your previous auto has given you a good number of years of reliable transportation, but not so much when you’re coming off of a car that was broken down all the time.

Car repairs can be costly and aggravating, and nobody should have to put up with a car or truck that constantly breaks down. Luckily for those of us here in the Garden State, we’re protected against that type of problem by New Jersey Lemon Law. The Lemon Law is designed to protect consumers from new vehicles that are poorly manufactured and repeatedly break down. Auto manufacturers are required to repair nonconformities (defects) that cannot be readily fixed.

Jersey has had the law in place in one form or another for going on 30 years – the main portion of the current law was put in place in 1988 by N.J.S.A. 56:12-29. New Jersey Lemon Law is one of many laws that have emanated from the state’s Division of Consumer Affairs. It essentially says that auto producers are required to take care of defects in the various components of their products that are covered under a warranty when bought. Consumers are protected if there is a defect that is majorly detrimental to the car/truck’s use, safety or value after the manufacturer is given three chances to correct them. Recent changes allow for coverage under the NJ Lemon Law for the first 24 months of ownership or 24,000 miles on the odometer, whichever comes first.

In a recent article in Politico, several figures were cited to indicate that apartment dwelling is on the rise. According to the National Association of Home Builders, construction of new apartments and condominiums rose fifty percent from the year before. However, the apartment rental business appears to be the one highlight in the housing market. Those who can’t afford to buy are renting instead. These apartment dwellers are looking to save money and wait for the economy to recover some more before they commit to a long-term housing situation. Plus, apartments provide the freedom that many young people need in case they must move around for a better situation. What to Make of Glamour Shots Reviews

Before I experience something for the first time, I like to know what I am getting myself into. Knowing I had the opportunity to attend a Glamour Shots studio session with three of my female friends, I decided to read some Glamour Shots reviews online. What I found was scary. I read some positive comments, but I also saw headlines that claimed there was a price scam, and another that warned the photographers were inexperienced. Needless to say, I was apprehensive about the experience my friends would have at Glamour Shots. Fortunately, their personal Glamour Shots reviews are now online, and they definitely help to build back up the Glamour Shot brand name.

One of the biggest complaints I read online had to do with pricing. Not so much that the portraits were overpriced, but that there were multiple hidden fees. Thanks to my research, I warned my friends to be observant over their pricing policies. To my surprise, we all went over the paperwork prior to the Glamour Shot portrait session, and many of the prices were explained in detail. After hair and makeup were completed, and the portrait shoots in multiple outfits took place, the staff at the Glamour Shots location put together a DVD slideshow, accompanied by music, which highlighted all of the pictures. I was positive that during the slideshow, the hidden charges would arise; Once again, I was wrong.

The slideshow was fantastic, and my friends really appreciated the privacy screen that surrounded them so strangers couldn’t view their portraits. Once the slideshow was completed, it was time to talk about price. Rather than try to nickel and dime my friends for every extra penny, the courteous employee explained that packaging certain portraits could result in real savings. She also compared what the cost would be if you bought certain portraits individually, or as a specific package. All three of my friends took advantage of deals that they wouldn’t have known about if not for the urging of the staff to take advantage of the best value. The point of this blog is to alert consumers everywhere that not everything you read online can be trusted; this was certainly the case with the Glamour Shots reviews I read on the Internet and is only further proof that the best way to know the truth is to try something for yourself.
